Crew Member Shot & Killed Outside Set Of 'Law And Order: Organized Crime'

Crew Member Shot & Killed Outside Set Of ‘Law And Order: Organized Crime’

A crew member for ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ was fatally shot early this morning while outside the TV show’s set.

According to investigators, the victim, Johnny Pizarro, was a security guard who was reserving parking spaces for the crew to use later that day.

Around 5:15 a.m., an unidentified man approached his car and shot him in the face and neck, killing him. “I didn’t hear an argument or anything. It was quiet, early morning,’’ his colleague said about the incident.

“It was just a pop, and the [gunman] ran up towards Nassau [Avenue]. I only heard one bang, but I don’t know how many shots. I don’t even know who would do this or why.’’

The motive for the killing is unknown and police are still searching for the suspect. NBC and Universal Television have released a statement following the tragedy.

“We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

Pizarro is survived by a wife and three children. It’s a sad and ironic situation. Prayers to his family.
