Gervonta Davis And Ryan Garcia Agree To Put Their Entire Fight Purse On The Line, Winner Takes It All
Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia have put their money where their mouths are by betting their entire purse on the result of this weekend’s megafight.
The American pair face off in a huge bout in Vegas on Saturday night, and the stakes just got higher after a bet made in front of nearly 200,000 fans on an Instagram Live video.
Davis was hosting the live stream alongside YouTuber Kai Cenat when his rival – and this weekend’s opponent – Garcia jumped on the video from his car. Things got very interesting when Davis then said to his rival: ‘Yo, you wanna bet?’, to which Garcia replied: ‘Yeah, let’s do it… I’m down.’

Davis then clarified the amount by responding, ‘The whole purse?’ and Garcia was in agreement, saying: ‘Let’s do it the whole purse,’ before adding: ‘You hear me on the live, let’s go, let’s make a contract, let’s sign it, both of us.
According to ‘Sporting Payouts’, Davis is guaranteed $1.5million for the fight, while Garcia – the younger fighter – is expected to earn just $350,000.
The PPV share, meanwhile, is split 60-40 in Davis’ favor. There is far more upside for the 24-year-old Garcia in the bet, and he could earn over four times his current fee for the fight if he comes out victorious.
The California native is currently 23-0 with 19 KOs in his career, but goes into Saturday night’s Vegas showdown as the underdog. Davis, meanwhile, is four years older than his rival and has a 28-0 career record, with 26 of them coming by way of knockout.
