NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Says Ja Morant Decision Will Be Announced After NBA Finals
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Says A Decision Regarding Ja Morant Has Been Reached
NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that a decision regarding Ja Morant has been reached but that the league will not announce the punishment for the Memphis Grizzlies star until after the NBA Finals.
“In terms of the timing, we’ve uncovered a fair amount of additional information since I was asked about the situation,” Adam told reporters.
“We probably could have brought it to a head now, but we made the decision — and I believe the players association agrees with us — that it would be unfair to these players and these teams in the middle of this series to announce the results of that investigation,” he said.
Adam Silver says the NBA and Players Association has already decided on Ja Morant’s suspension, but said it would be unfair to announce it now during the NBA Finals.
Silver says expect Morant’s punishment to be announced shortly after the NBA Finals.

The commissioner also added that a decision will be announced, “shortly after the conclusion of the Finals.”
“LMFAOOO Bro’s suspension is getting a release date,” someone commented. “Gonna announce it in The Finals post credits scene?” another person asked.
Morant has been suspended twice for brandishing a firearm on social media. Silver indicated they may be seeking to help the young baller.
“He has expressed sincere contrition and remorse for his behavior. Ja has also made it clear to me that he has learned from this incident and that he understands his obligations and responsibility to the Memphis Grizzlies and the broader NBA community extend well beyond his play on the court.”
