8-Year-old Boy Arrested After Stealing A Car At Gunpoint In Alabama

An 8-year-old boy was arrested in Montgomery, AL after he stole a car at gunpoint and led police on a high-speed chase through the city.

According to WSFA 12, officers responded to a call shortly after 11 am about a robbery.

Once they arrived on scene, they quickly discovered that an 8-year-old had carjacked someone using a gun. Officers tried to pull the stolen vehicle over shortly after, but the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The boy eventually crashed into another vehicle, but that was before the boy reportedly picked up two male adults to take them to an American Deli.

The 8-year-old boy was taken into custody and later charged with first-degree robbery, attempting to elude and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

He was taken to the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility.

“He is definitely not the kind of kid who listens to, obeys or respects his parents, grandparents or any other adults in his life,” someone commented.
