The Dallas Couple Are Ineligible Because They Called 911 Instead Of Crime-Stoppers Line

A Dallas couple has been left conflicted after calling in a 911 report about a kidnapping suspect that was supposed to come with a crime stoppers award.

The couple, Briana and Kenyatta Jordan, were reportedly coming home from lunch when they recognized the man they’d seen was wanted on television earlier that day. After comparing the crime to it possibly happening to their own kids, they decided to make the 911 call.

Now, if you remember, we recently reported on a story about a Dallas man who kidnapped a 7-year-old girl along with her brother who was not considered missing as the man dropped him off in a store parking lot.

The man eventually returned the girl back by dropping her off near her home as police continued to search for him.

After police showed up to his mother’s house where he’d allegedly been staying, a chase broke out after he was spotted where he then fled to a bus stop and attempted to end his life by slashing his throat with a blade. But as crazy as that sounds, neighbors, the Dallas couple’s 911 call is what led police to find this man and put him behind bars.

According to KDFW, if you are calling in to identify a suspect or leaving a tip with the intent of getting’ the crime-stoppers’ reward, you unfortunately do not qualify for it if you call 911 instead of the crime-stoppers line.

With the couple not being aware of this, their act of service resulted in them not being eligible for the reward.
