Latto Claims Her Song ‘Put It On The Floor’ Is The Song Of The Summer
All summer long, people have been ripping themselves out like like plastic and acting like brand new chile! Because of the viral trend, Latto has deemed her song ‘Put It On The Floor’ as song of the summer!
While speaking with Complex about her recent collab with Sprite and rapper Rakim, Latto opened up about what she has coming up next for her career and the state of hiphop today.
She said even though rap hasn’t been dominating the charts this year as much as years before, rap is still in good hands with all the talented people in the game. She also touched on paying homage to those who have come before.

“You got to pay respect to the people who came before, who made any of this even possible,” she said to Complex.
“And then aside from that, I’m a real lover of music. I don’t just do this just for the money and to get cute and get my makeup and hair done. I really love what I do. My heart is for music. So I have a different type of respect for the genre.”
When asked about the song of the summer, of course Latto had to crown herself! ‘Put It On The Floor’ had everyone in TikTok with their newest grocery bag ready to be ripped out! Latto says she believes it’s the song of the summer because it was an organic hit that people loved.
“That song got my heart. That song was just so effortless. It was really all done in one day. I wasn’t trying to make the song of the summer. It’s a street record. It was fun. It was for the culture.”
