Latto Names Lil Kim, Left Eye & ‘Shawty’ Nicki Minaj As Her Top 3 GOAT Rappers

Latto had an interview with Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 radio station, which was released on Tuesday, April 2, on YouTube. The interview was made in anticipation of the rapper headlining Atlanta’s upcoming Birthday Bash concert. According to The Source, Latto will be the first female rapper to ever headline the event.

About two minutes into the interview, Latto was asked to share her top three G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) female rappers. “Kim — gotta say Kim,” Latto began, referring to Brooklyn-bred rapper Lil’ Kim. “Imma say Left Eye — rest in peace, Left Eye and shawty.”

Although she didn’t mention Nicki Minaj directly, fans are convinced she’s referring to the Queens rapper. “Shawty”… meanwhile nicki was literally saying lil kim’s name out loud & giving her her props even after the beef,” someone commented.

“Nahhh I’m weak, she knows who her mother is,” another person wrote. “Ngl she desperately wants that late 2022 attention again from the beef, and she’s getting it from yall. So easy to bait, smh,” someone else penned.

“Imagine being a fan of somebody for so long and u get in the industry thinking you’re “above” them because of what the internet has been telling u and gaslighting u just for it to come crashing down.. now u can’t openly be a fan anymore LOL sad,” another user added.

In 2022, Latto and Nicki Minaj got into a back and forth on Twitter spat that stemmed from the latter’s frustration at “Super Freaky Girl” being deemed a pop song by the Grammys while“Big Energy” wasn’t.

Latto went on to premier “Put It On Da Floor” during her Coachella performance last year, which received tons of attention for the bars “Bitches acting like they running shit, they really ran through” and “She thought I would kiss her ass, she mustn’t have took her meds.”

At the end of the track, she had more words: “Say she got a problem, imaginary smoke/ Bitch, you said it’s up, then put on the floor.”
