A.I. Generated Song Of Drake & The Weeknd Submitted For Grammy Consideration
An A.I generated song might have a chance to be Grammy nominated after it is submitted for consideration.
Earlier this year, an anonymous person named Ghostwriter created an A.I song featuring Drake and The Weeknd’s voices that went viral.
Many people were surprised at how real the vocals from both artists sounded despite them being fake, but the record companies weren’t amused and had the song taken down from platforms.

Fast forward to now, Ghostwriter has submitted the song for ‘Song Of The Year’ and ‘Best Rap Song’ for this year’s awards.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr told The New York Times that “it’s absolutely eligible because it was written by a human”.
However, just because the song is deemed “creatively” eligible, Grammy rules also require the song to have “general distribution”, which means “the broad release of a recording, available nationwide via brick-and-mortar stores, third-party online retailers and/or streaming services”, Mason Jr added.
