Houston Rockets’ Kevin Porter Jr. Charged With Assault & Strangulation After Assaulting Girlfriend

Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. is currently in some serious trouble after allegedly physically assaulting his girlfriend at a New York City hotel.

He allegedly assaulted her to the point she was left with a fractured neck vertebra and a cut above her right eye.

According to ESPN, Kevin, 23, was arrested and hit with several charges from felony assault and strangulation in connection with the incident that went down Monday at the Millennium Hilton.

Prosecutors claim Kevin didn’t stop attacking his girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, until she ran out into the hallway covered in blood.

“Upon arrival officers were informed that a 26-year-old female sustained a laceration to the right side of her face and was complaining about pain to her neck,” a police spokesperson said.

“A preliminary investigation on scene determined that a known individual struck her multiple times upon her body and placed his hands around the neck.”

Kysre was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation. “We are in the process of gathering information surrounding the matter involving Kevin Porter Jr.,” the Rockets said in a statement. “We have no further comment at this time.”
