Jersey Mother Accuses A Teacher’s Aide Of Pulling Out Her 5-Year-Old Daughter’s Hair
Jersey Mother Accuses A Teacher’s Aide Of Pulling Out Her 5-Year-Old Daughter’s Hair After She Reportedly Refused To Go In Timeout
A Jersey mother is calling out her 5-year-old daughter’s school district after the girl came home with one of her braids ripped from her head!
According to ABC7, Aaqilah Perez says she sent her daughter to P.S. 26 in Jersey City on March 15 with a head full of scalp braids.
However, when the little girl returned home, one of the braids were missing, and she had scratches and bruises on her face. Perez quickly called the police to check on her daughter and report the incident.

Perez told officers that the incident occurred at school and involved a teacher’s aide. Perez claims her daughter, who is special needs and has ADHD, refused to go in timeout and the aide allegedly lost patience and the incident occurred.
Since then, Perez has not sent her daughter back to school and says they’re both traumatized from the experience.
“I think they really have to take this matter seriously because I don’t want anybody else’s kids to get hurt or I don’t want any other parents have to experience what I just experienced like three weeks ago, because it’s a terrible feeling to send your child to a place where they’re supposed to be safe and for them to come home with their hair pulled down and sad seeing that their teacher hurt them, it’s really heartbreaking,” Perez said.
As of right now, the school district has yet to comment and no charges have been filed against the aide. The investigation is ongoing.
