A man shared a video footage online and it’s currently going viral on social media. The footage shows someone stealing a package from the man’s home while disguised as a bag of trash.

The clip is now making rounds online, garnering lots of reactions from netizens. The Neighborhood Talk as well reposted the footage and the comments won’t stop coming in.

“I know hot cheetos eating slippers when I see it, girl put the package back,” someone commented. “If they put this much effort into finding a job oh lord,” another person wrote. “Naw he deserve that package wouldn’t of even been mad,” someone else shared.

“The way I would be walking thru the Neighborhood looking for anybody wearing a pair of white flipflops,” another user commented. “Don’t let me catch you with them sneakers on tomm!!! Lol I’II be watching the whole neighborhood footwear lol,” added someone else.

Package theft has been a plague since the dawn of the Amazon Era, and porch pirates show no signs of relenting. Despite increased security measures and legislative crackdowns, the problem remains pervasive.

17% of Americans have had a package stolen in the past three months. The typical stolen parcel was worth about $50. Forty-four percent have had a package taken at some point in their life.

Package thieves poached more than $8 billion in merchandise over the past year.
