While the Hip Hop category remains the most talked about part of the nomination. One wouldn’t overlook the fact that some notable names were also snubbed.

It came as a surprise to many, after Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby who both had a great year were snubbed from the ‘Best New Artist’ category.

DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion served us all with lovely tunes including “Cash Shit,” “Suge,” and “Big Ole Freak” which took over the airwaves and the streets all year. Needless to say, they’ve become to of the hottest breakout stars of the year in any genre.

However, people were left scratching their heads earlier today when it was revealed that neither artist was nominated in the Best New Artist category at the Grammys.

Fortunately for DaBaby, he was nominated in other categories. “Suge” was nominated twice for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Megan, on the other hand, wasn’t nominated in a single category. With her new album set to drop next year, perhaps 2021 will be her year.

The nominees for the ‘Best New Artist’ category includes Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Black Pumas, Maggie Rogers, Rosalia, Tank And The Bangas, and Yola.
