Drake Is Spotify Most Streamed Artist Of The Decade
As 2019 wraps up an end of another decade, there have been coalition of artists performances in the past 10 years and streaming platform Spotify have released their most streamed artists of the 2010s.
According to the platform, Drake is the most streamed artist of the decade followed by Ed Sheeran.
Drake topped the rankings of the Most-Streamed Artists of the Decade (Global) with more than 28 billion streams. He was followed by Ed Sheeran at No. 2, Post Malone at the 3rd spot while Ariana Grande, the most streamed female artist sits at No. 4 and Eminem at No. 5.
Ed Sheeran landed two songs on the list of Most-Streamed Tracks of the Decade (Global): “Shape of You” No. 1 and “Thinking out Loud” at No. 5. The rest of the Top 5 includes “One Dance” by Drake, Kyla, & WizKid at No. 2, “Rockstar” by Post Malone & 21 Savage No. 3, and “Closer” by Halsey & The Chainsmokers at No. 4.
Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Sia, and Beyoncé, were the Most-Streamed Female Artists of the Decade (Global) respectively.
For the Most-Streamed Male Artists of the Decade (Global), Drake, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Eminem, and The Weeknd top the list in respective order.
