Man Appears To Have His Organs Stolen At Hospital

A disturbing video is currently making rounds on the internet. The viral clip is believed to be from St Louis, Missouri is causing outrage across America.

In the video, an African American male is seen inside one of the city’s most prominent hospitals, and all the organs in his chest cavity were removed.

There are speculations flying around that the man’s organs were “harvested” without his family’s approval. Organ “harvesting”, or removing organs from living people, has a long history. But most people find it an unthinkable practice in a country like the United States.

But around the world is a whole other story. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), organ trade is a commercial transplantation where there is a profit, or transplantations that occurs outside of national medical systems.

There is a global need or demand for healthy body parts for transplantation, which exceeds the numbers available.

The commercial trade of human organs is illegal in all countries except Iran. Despite these prohibitions, organ trafficking and transplant tourism remain widespread throughout Asian and Africa.
