Harvey Weinstein Sentenced To 23 Years In Jail
We reported earlier that Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein is preparing ahead for his New York trial this week, and he’s now facing four more charges of sexual assault in Los Angeles.
Harvey Weinstein was found guilty on two of the five criminal charges he faced in his New York County trial today after the jury deliberated for five days.
Although, Weinstein maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings, was convicted of criminal sexual assault in the first degree, based on the testimony of former Project Runway production assistant Miriam Haley.
Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob Weinstein co-founded the entertainment company Miramax, which produced successful independent films including Sex, Lies, and Videotape.
He was also convicted rape in the third degree, based on the testimony of one-time aspiring actress Jessica Mann. Due to his poor health, Weinstein is being held at Bellevue Hospital prison ward in Manhattan.

According to Hollywoodreporters, Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison. Harvey Weinstein will spend 23 years in a New York State prison after being sentenced by Supreme Court Judge James Burke on Wednesday morning.
Judge Burke, before issuing his sentence, told Weinstein that he will be formally registered as a sex offender. For his conviction on the first-degree count of criminal sexual act, Weinstein was given 20 years in prison plus five years of supervised release. On the other convicted charge, third degree rape, he was given three years in prison.
