Metro Boomin Calls Out “Fake Woke” People Criticizing Billionaires’ Donations Amid Coronavirus

It’s funny how people bring out their calculator to calculate other people’s net worth and still have the audacity to tell them how they’re supposed to spend their money. And that’s the case of the Billionaires who recently donated money amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

While the world battle the COVID-19 pandemic, Billionaires have donated some of their money in order to help. Whether it be for the sake of providing food, medical supplies and equipment, research, facilities e.t.c.

Mark Zuckerberg and Los Angeles Clippers owner, Steve Ballmer, both worth huge amounts of money. And both billionaires recently donated $25 million each toward funding research for coronavirus treatment and accelerated testing for coronavirus.

Although, Ballmer and Zuckerberg both boast net worths in the $50 billion range, people felt they could have done more and that either of these men donating $25 million is essentially the equivalent of an average person donating around $25-$30.

Some folks online are saying that billionaires shouldn’t be praised for donating less than 1% of their net worth, while some feel that donating any amount at all will still make a difference, let alone $25 million. Super Producer Metro Boomin, recently took to twitter to call out the “fake woke” people criticizing the billionaires’ donations.

“How are people actually on here complaining that someone’s contribution to the crisis isn’t enough based off of what they are worth? Y’all be so fake woke lol,” he tweeted.

“The same people complaining about $25 million donations won’t even donate a single canned good to their local food bank or shelter,” he wrote in another tweet.

Metro Boomin then clarified that he’s not “defending billionaires” but rather “defending common sense,” by indicating that $25 million is better than nothing, and will certainly go a long way to help people.
