Leaked Email Shows Drake Tried To Block “Like That” From Getting Radio Play

Kendrick Lamar has since been trending following the release of his response diss track “Euphoria” aimed at Drake. The track has been receiving positive feedback from fans and it’s safe to say he ‘cooked’ on it.

On the track, the Compton native made an explosive revelation on how Drake tried to block “Like That” from getting radio play.

“You were signed to a nigga that’s signed to a nigga that said he was signed to that nigga / Try cease and desist on the “Like That” record? /Ho, what? You ain’t like that record? / “Back To Back, I like that record I’ma get back to that, for the record,” Kendrick raps on “Euphoria”.

Just in, a leaked email has now surfaced confirming that Drake indeed tried cease and desist on “Like That”. The email shows legal correspondents from Drake’s label Republic Records, trying to block the track from getting radio play.

The email was sent to Future’s label Epic Records, saying: “We are not granting radio rights for ‘Like That’…Epic does not have the right to release this song at radio.”

What’s more interesting is that Drake and Metro Boomin both have deals with Republic Records, meaning they tried to block their own artist’s song from radio.

The ongoing beef all started when “Like That”, a track from Future and Metro Boomin’s first album “We Don’t Trust You.” The track features Kendrick Lamar who reignited his decade old beef with Drake by taking shots at the Canadian rapper and J. Cole.

On the track, K. Dot raps: “Sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches. I crash out, like, ‘F**k rap,’ this Melly Mell if I had to/Got two Ts with me, I’m snatchin’ chains and burnin’ tattoos, it’s up/Lost too many soldiers not to play it safe/If he walk around with that stick, it ain’t Andre 3K,” Kendrick raps on “Like That.”

“Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/Muthaf**k the big three, n***a, it’s just big me/N***a, bum, what? I’m really like that,” he added.
