Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Arrested
Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty has found himself in legal issues again. He is in federal custody for failing to register as a sex offender.
The United States Attorney’s Office of Los Angeles that Petty surrendered to federal authorities and was taken into custody on Wednesday.
Kenneth Petty’s rape conviction in 1995 is still hunting him. After serving four years in the New York state prison for first-degree attempted rape, almost a decade later, Petty served ten months in prison in 2006 after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter.

Kenneth Petty was already registered as a sex offender in New York but was required to register in California after the couple moved to Los Angeles last year. Nicki Minaj was on the receiving end up heavy criticism after going public with their relationship. The new federal charge can lead up to a 10-year sentence in prison for Petty.
According to documents obtained by E! News, Petty was indicted by a grand jury for failure to register as a sex offender. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $100,000 bond. His trial is set for April 28.
Nicki Minaj had earlier addressed her husband’s rape controversy by saying at the time Kenneth was 16, the girl was 15, and they were in a relationship. “But go awf Internet. Y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”
But she’s yet to comment on this recent developments.
