Lil Baby Says He’s Joking About The 5 Million Request From Record Label
Lil Baby is undeniably one of the hottest rappers at the moment. He earned his first ever No. 1 album with ‘My Turn‘. He’s also gotten a cosign from veteran rapper Lil Wayne who named him as his favorite rapper at the moment.
The Atlanta rapper took a surprise step yesterday when he demanded a huge sum of money from his record label Quality Control.
Lil Baby requested for more money before he quits music altogether and returns to the streets. He took to Instagram Live to send a message to Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas to run him his money or he’s heading back to hustling.
“I told my label they need to give me $5 million or I’m going to hustle, fuck it,” said the rapper on Instagram Live. “Give me $5 million or I’m doing what I do.”
The news quickly went viral and media outlets started milking from it. Fans on social media were also debating if QC would pay him considering that Lil Baby is a hot cake at the moment. And just in time, he calmed the waves, revealing that he was only joking about the request.
@qcmceo_p tell this people it was a joke.. How many 5ms we done ran up.. Ohhh okkk,” he wrote on his instagram story.
The label instagram page caught up with the post and responded. “Too Many Times Idiots. Y’all MF’s Love A Story. “My Turn” Deluxe Come Out Friday. Go Run That Up.”
