Scammers Create Fake Coronavirus Testing Site & Charge $240 For A “Test”

Scammers Charge $240 For A Fake Coronavirus Test

Scammers in the United States have come up with fake coronavirus testing sites to dupe gullible people of their hard earned money all in the name of COVID-19 testing.

Scammers are creating “pop-up” COVID-19 testing sites, which puport to offer quick results for cash. But the tests are fake.

A medical marketing company set up makeshift testing sites outside various churches in Louisville, KY this weekend – with workers dressed wearing hazmat gear.

But some people suspected a fraud, and they contacted their local politician, Metro Council President David James. He and some Louisville advocates have been hunting down COVID-19 scammers for weeks.

According to David James, the scammers are charging more than $200 a test and using people’s DNA and personal information.

“It’s really Medicaid fraud, is what it actually is. There is no reason that you should spend $240 dollars for a COVID test,” James said. “And they’re using the same gloves on Person A that they used on Person B, that they used on Person C.”

“They’re the scum of the Earth and they’re preying on the poorest of the poor, and I’m going to do everything in my power to get them the [explicit] out of Kentucky,” James said.
