Doja Cat Performs “Say So” On BBC Radio 1 Despite Cancel Culture Threats
Doja Cat was the trending topic on twitter yesterday and it wasn’t for something good. #DojaCatIsOverParty was the viral tag on twitter after new videos shows that she’s been active on TinyChat groups.
Her old tweets and videos group chat with racist White people made the cancel culture threatened to end her career.
people who have watched the singer in these chat rooms, Doja has formed online friendships with people who are reportedly known to be alt-righters, racist, and “incels”.
Then clips of Doja Cat in these chats began to circulate, and it didn’t take long for some of her old tweets to resurface where she allegedly made bigoted remarks. Akademiks also shared that she’s lost over 100k followers in the course of the trend.
Although Doja is yet to address this controversy, she did perform “Say So,” which recently spent two weeks at No. 1 and remains in the top 5 on the charts, as part of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend event to make up for her cancelled show in the UK a few weeks ago.
However, it’s unclear whether Doja filmed the performance prior to this whole scandal, the video premiered on Saturday long after the alleged tea had been spilled.
