It appears those in prison are proving to be resourceful as they now make their own drugs with what’s readily available. There’s a disturbing new drug trend taking over in US prisons, bath salts.

According to reports, “Bath salts” when used as a drug is a dangerous synthetic narcotic. and one can testify to that with the video currently making rounds on the internet.

It alters the mind and is strong central nervous system stimulant that inhibits the dopamine-norepinephrine reuptake system (neurotransmitters) in the brain.

Users usually snort the drug up the nose, but it can also be injected, smoked, swallowed or used rectally. The drug produces euphoria, hallucinations, and violent behavior.

They can lead to serious, and even fatal adverse reactions. Inmates are now turning to it because it’s easier to smuggle inside. Corrections officers are on the constant lookout for cocaine, heroin, and marijuana but not bath salts.
