Instagram Model Dounya Zayer Confirms She’s Assaulted By NYPD During Protest

A beautiful young Instagram model’s social media following has reportedly skyrocketed from 10,000 to over 100,000 after she was brutally assaulted by New York police yesterday.

The IG model who goes by the name Dounya Zayer, is a Brooklyn native and dancer. Dounya is now one of the hottest new Insta-models on the platform.

Her new found fame began after video of an aggressive New York police officer brutally assaulting her during a Brooklyn protest on Friday night surfaced online.

Zayer took to her Instagram page to confirm she was the one being assaulted in the viral video. “Many people have been tagging me in this video. Yes this me,” she wrote in the caption of the assault video.

“Last night was truly horrifying and this needs to stop. To everyone going out and protesting, Please be careful,” she added.

According to reports, Dounya had a little less than 10,000 followers before the assault. But by this morning her following exploded as Dounya now boast of 113,000 followers. Here are some pictures of the now blown model :
