J Cole Spit Bars For Inmates Facing Life In Prison During Visit
J Cole Visited Prison In 2017 To Uplift Inmates & Dropped Some Bars
J Cole is well known for his uplifting words in his music and in real life. His ability to relate with every day struggle and life challenges has made fans deem him one of the GOATs of his generation.
Apparently, Cole took a trip to one of San Francisco’s most famous prisons back in 2017 and one of the inmates has taken time to explain how life-changing his visit was.
Cole’s manager, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad shared the experience at the time. “We got the opportunity to spend the day at San Quentin State Prison talking and meeting inmates who will never see the outside again,” he wrote.
However, It appears Cole did more than just talk and he actually spit some bars for about forty inmates facing life in prison. Former incarcerated lifer Adnan Khan, shined more light on his experience hearing the rapper spit bars during his visit to San Quentin.
While replying to a post asking about experiences seeing big artists perform in small rooms, the formerly incarcerated man revealed that Cole’s visit didn’t include a performance of sorts. Although, he did sit down in a circle before spitting some bars without instrumental backing.
According to Khan, the Dreamville front man’s visit was deep. “He knew how fucked up the system is & wanted to learn more from us living in the fire-to use his platform to educate fans & bring actual change,” he penned, adding pictures from the visitation.

True details of that day is deep. We all chopped it up for a couple hours. It was big that Cole was there, but bigger WHY he was there. He knew how fucked up the system is & wanted to learn more from us living in the fire-to use his platform to educate fans & bring actual change.
