YNW Melly’s Co-Defendant YNW Bortlen Granted Release On Bond
YNW Bortlen Granted Release On Bond
Rapper YNW Melly and his associate Bortlen, were arrested in February 2019 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Bortlen was also charged with two counts of accessory after the fact.
YNW Melly has been fighting to leave prison after he tested positive for Coronavirus. It was later confirmed that Melly’s condition has further deteriorated to the point where it sounds especially dire.
But according to new reports, Melly’s alleged murder accomplice YNW Bortlen, has been released from jail on bond.
“Jamell Demons aka @YNWMelly’s co-defendant Cortlen Henry aka @YNWBortlen was granted bond and house arrest,” his attorney tweeted. YNW Melly on the other hand will be forced to remain in jail until his trial begins this summer.
“The Defendant’s bond shall be secured, by collateral, in the form of real property and/or other tangible person property, having sufficient net asset value in excess of Ninety Thousand ($90,000.00) dollars,” the court document read per Pitchfork.
The trial has been set for July 2nd. Both men could face the death penalty if convicted for the murders of friends, YNW Juvy, and YNW Sakchaser.
