Deyjah Harris Reacts To #HymenGate In New ‘Family Hustle’ Episode

T.I. Under Fire After Reality Show Airs Deyjah Harris Response To “Hymengate”

Rapper T.I revealed last year that he takes his teenage daughter to the gynecologist every year to check her hymen to be sure she is still a virgin. Tip made it known on the Ladies Like Us podcast that he takes Deyjah Harris every year after her birthday to the OBGYN to make sure that her hymen is still intact.

The “Expeditiously” Podcast had addressed the issue on the Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett where he  explaining how he was just trying to be a protective father.

Back in March, Deyjah Harris posted a video to Youtube, where she detailed her struggle with mental health and having suicidal thoughts. However, On tonight’s (June 15) episode of the show, Deyjah stated that she was “shocked, hurt, angry, and embarrassed” by the ordeal and added that she and T.I. weren’t very close at the moment.

Deyjah was tearful as she said that this incident caused their father-daughter relationship to be changed forever, but he would still be her father.

“I’m scrolling on Twitter and I see I’m tagged in a post and all I see is ‘gynecologist,’ and I didn’t even need to read the whole title. I just knew. My heart sank. I’m very shocked, hurt, angry, embarrassed.”

She then told her cousins that she struggled with how differently T.I. treated her brothers, especially King. Deyjah Harris said that T.I. jokes that King will one day be someone’s “baby daddy,” but holds her under his thumb.

“I just can’t really be around him right now,” Deyjah said. “I’m not saying he’s a bad parent, but when it comes to stuff like this… I’m just going to be more connected mentally and emotionally. I don’t know. I don’t want to say I’m looking at him differently because of this — I don’t know. More so our relationship, I’m going to look at differently.”

T.I said that since Deyjah didn’t find the need to confront him about his comments, which he said were just a joke, he didn’t think he should pay any attention to it.
