Lil Uzi Vert Pissed After Being Snubbed From BET Award Nominations
Lil Uzi Vert Reacts To Not Being Honored At The 2020 BET Awards
Lil Uzi Vert is big mad after being snubbed on the 2020 BET Awards nominations list considering that he’s having a great year, charting every single song from his Eternal Atake album (and the deluxe!) on the Billboard Hot 100.
Uzi’s Eternal Atake album debuted at the top spot and has been one of the highest-selling albums of the entire year.
Lil Uzi Vert’s fans believe he should have been nominated for Album of the Year and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. However, he earned zero nominations at the BET Awards.
The Best Male Hip-Hop Artist category includes Drake, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, and Future. The Album of the Year category features Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, DaBaby, H.E.R., and Beyoncé.
Drake bagged six nominations for the show, and just behind him are Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch. Uzi didn’t hide his disappointment about his lack of recognition as he’s taken to Twitter to air out his frustrations.
“Y’all see how they do ya boy,” he wrote on the social network. While he does not specify that he’s mad at the BET Awards, the timing makes sense. “Its because I don’t follow the Rules of HipHop. Its boring,” he added.
Y’all see how they do ya boy 🤷🏾♂️
