Roddy Ricch Wins Two Awards At The 2020 BET Awards
Roddy Ricch continues his winning streak in 2020 after dropping a masterclass debut album “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” in 2019. The album somehow topped charts for months and even into 2020.
“The Box” off the album came out at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts earlier this year. The Compton rapper was amongst the most nominees for 2020 BETs.
Roddy Ricch was able to win more hearts during his performance at the just concluded 2020 BET Awards where he performed his hit tracks “The Box” and “High Fashion” and even used the piano.
His performance wasn’t all, Roddy claims triumph in two categories where he was nominated. He won the ‘Album Of The Year’ with “Antisocial” ahead of Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Fever, DaBaby’s “Kirk” and Beyonce’s “Homecoming”.
The “God’s Eyes” rapper also won the category for ‘Best New Artist’, edging DaniLeigh, Lil Nas X, Pop Smoke, Summer Walker and YBN Cordae.
Congratulations to Roddy Ricch! Hopefully he’ll be able to keep up with the pace. Check out the complete winners list at the 2020 BET Awards.
