Tory Lanez Explains What Happened After Being Caught Liking A Shady Tweet About Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine had a major win with “Trollz” after it debuted at number one on Billboard Hot 100. Nicki earned the second #1 of her career while 6ix9ine got his first. But after a week on the chart, the track dropped off drastically.

“Trollz” made a drop from the #1 position to the #34 spot, marking a 33-spot plummet. “6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj’s “TROLLZ” posts the biggest fall for a #1 debut in Hot 100 history,” the chart company tweeted.

Amid the fall, Tory Lanez was caught liking a tweet that said Cardi B would never find herself in the same position as Nicki, which led the Barbz to go on the offensive. According to Tory though, it was all just a big misunderstanding.

You know when you’re scrolling through Twitter and accidentally press the “like” button? That’s apparently what happened.

“@NICKIMINAJ is my favorite female rapper..I don’t know what y’all are trying to do this morning ..I made a honest mistake on a touch screen phone,” Tory explained.

“Anytime I’ve had an issue, y’all know me for being vocal. I wouldn’t go like a random tweet nor use my platform to insult the queen,” the Toronto superstar added.

Tory later joked that was just trying to enjoy his morning blunt before he saw all of this popping off. “And to think my blunt was about to be so peaceful this morning,” he wrote.
