Nicki Minaj’s Husband Makes Special Request To Be Present During Childbirth
Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Asks Judge To Allow Him To Be Present For The Birth Of His Child
Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty are expecting their first child together. Unfortunately, because of Petty’s criminal case and his history as a sex offender, he might not be able to witness his child’s birth.
According to TMZ, Kenneth Petty has made a special request, asking the judge’s permission to be present while his wife Nicki Minaj gives birth to their baby.
In the documents, Kenneth pleads with the judge to modify the terms of his pretrial release conditions, seeking to be allowed to travel with Nicki as her manager and attend the birth of their baby. Petty says the U.S. Attorney’s Office and pretrial services office don’t oppose his request, so now it’s up to the judge to sign off.

Kenneth Petty was trolled on Twitter following Nicki Minaj’s pregnancy announcement. He was dragged for his criminal record and the likelihood that he would be absent during the birth of his child.
Petty is registered as a Level 2 sex offender, according to the Department of Justice’s website. He was convicted for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995, during which he allegedly used a “knife/cutting instrument” to coerce her into sex.
He was reportedly delivered to an 18- to 54-month prison sentence. However, he only spent nearly four years behind bars before he was released in January 1999.
Kenneth was sentenced once again in 2006 on first-degree manslaughter charges stemming from a gunfire incident that killed a man named Lamont Robinson in 2002. He spent seven years in prison for that crime, but was placed on a supervised release program from 2013 to 2018.
