Denzel Washington Pays Respect To Chadwick Boseman
Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman passed away after battling Conor cancer for 4 years. The heroic actor and his team kept his cancer diagnosis secret untill he died. Tributes from fans, friends, family and fellow celebrities have been flying around social media ever since.
Denzel Washington has also issued a statement on the sudden death. Washington, who secretly paid for Chadwick Boseman’s studies at Oxford University, called Boseman a “gentle soul” with an incredible talent.
“He was a gentle soul and a brilliant artist, who will stay with us for eternity through his iconic performances over his short yet illustrious career. God bless Chadwick Boseman,” Denzel Washington said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“After we got back, we got a benefactor letter. Denzel paid for me. I’m sure he has no idea. “It was random,” Boseman said of Denzel’s generosity in 2018.
Chadwick penned Washington a thank you letter, but interestingly enough, the two have never met. Boseman says he looks forward to the day when he can thank Washington in person.
Denzel is also the producer for Chadwick Boseman’s final film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
