Jacob Blake’s Family Says His Kids Desperately Need Therapy After Watching Him Being Shot 7 Times

Americans are out again in masses protesting against Police brutality after a 29 year old Black Man Jacob Blake was shot eight times in the back after getting into his car in front of his children witnessed it all happen, which is one of the most heart shattering parts of this story.

It surely is a traumatic experience for the young kids witnessing their father being shot repeatedly at a close range.

According to TMZ, Jacob’s uncle, Justin Blake, says the three kids who saw their dad shot 7 times in the back are in “desperate need of professional help, and the family is already looking for an appropriate therapist or team of therapists.”

So far, Justin says they’ve reviewed two services, and they’ll decide as a family which route to go in a matter of days. The children have not seen their father since the shooting, something the family says would be too traumatic.

The media outlet shared that Blake’s family is also against FaceTiming with the children and Jacob during this time as well.

Jacob Blake’s father has also confirmed that life-changing damage was done to his son, stating that he is paralyzed from the waist down.
