Megan Thee Stallion Says She Felt “Very Betrayed By All My Friends” After Being Shot
Megan Thee Stallion has been through some tough times in recent weeks and it’s good to see how well she’s fast recovering. The rapper reflected on her past and seems to wish her parents were alive to give her a shoulder to lean on. Nevertheless her industry friends have been rallying round her.
Megan recently took to Instagram live where she discussed with fans and answered questions that she bumped in the passing comments.
The “Girls In The Hood’ rapper had a lot to unfold, letting out her frustrations with people who are still making jokes at her expense. Meg who is fresh off a Cardi B collaboration titled “Wap” also talked about how disappointed she’s in some of her friends, in her words, she felt betrayed.
“I feel like this is a thing that I see every single day and I see so many women and I see so many men talking sh*t about this,” She began. Someone asked her how she felt after being shot. “I felt like, really crazy. I felt like, why did I get shot? What did I do? It was insane.”
“The sh*t was crazy. And I feel like some people think that it’s funny and I feel like some people think that it’s a joke and I feel like some people think that they’re saying it to get to me, but I’m not ashamed of who I am or what I’ve been through.”
Megan continued, “I just feel very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared,” said the rapper. “The one thing that y’all need to know about me is I’m not a person who is able to be down for a long time. I’m not a person who is…I don’t like to be victimized… I like to be upbeat.”
She concluded the live with encouraging words to her fans “My grandma always told me don’t let nobody steal your joy, so that’s the type of person I am,” she added. “I’m never gon’ let nobody steal my joy.”
