6 Yr Old Boy & His Dad Shot During NYC Labor Day Parade – Video
NYC labor day parole turned ugly following a shooting incident. A 6-year-old boy was among five shot last night in New York City and the boy’s shooting was caught on Instagram Live and streamed to millions of viewers.
The shooting took place at the J’Ouvert celebrations in Brooklyn. The young boy, identified as Maxwell Cesc-Vinho, was in surgery Monday morning. Police revealed his mother was also struck by gunfire.
The boy was blasted in the leg and his mom, Patricia Bratwaith, was struck in the foot just before 3 a.m. as they got out of a cab on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Crown Street.
According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison, the mother and son had just arrived at the party when shots broke out. The officer did not specify what a 6 year old boy was doing at a party at 3 AM.
“What we have right now is she was getting out of a cab with her son and then two individuals pulled out firearms and started shooting and they were both struck,” Harrison told media.
Bratwaith’s sister and daughter were at the scene Monday morning but declined to comment. Three other people were also shot – Flavian Yves, 40, Bob Charlotin, 46, and Kelly Barthold, 34, sources said.
