21 Savage Clarifies ‘Snitches & Rats’: ‘6ix9ine Ain’t The Only Rat In America’
21 Savage Clarifies Whether Morgan Freeman’s “Snitches & Rats” Is About 6ix9ine
21 Savage and Metro Boomin dropped their long anticipated album ‘Savage Mode 2’ yesterday and it’s since been trending with couple of controversy on the project. Most especially the 8th track which has Morgan Freeman making some explanations.
On ‘Snitches & Rats (Interlude)’ an intro to the main track ‘Snitches & Rats’ featuring Young Nudy’, Morgan Freeman explains the difference between snitches and rats.
However, due to Tekashi 6ix9ine’s rat history, throwing all his homies under the bus during his court trial, hip hop fans are convinced it’s a diss directed at the rainbow haired rapper.
“A regular citizen who reports seeing a crime isn’t a “snitch” or a “rat,” the criminals were just sloppy,” the veteran actor began on the Interlude.
“Snitches and rats are not the same thing, let me break it down to make sure y’all see what I mean
A “snitch” is someone minding other folks’ business
To find information they can sell for a price or trade for some other form of compensation
A “rat” is a traitor, a conceiver, planner or physical participator.”
Morgan continues, “He doesn’t sell secrets for power or cash, he betrays the trust of his team or his family hoping to save his own cowardly ass
The difference is, at least a snitch is human, but a rat is a fuckin’ rat, period.”
Just in time, Savage came through with an explanation. “I see y’all talking about the ‘Snitches & Rats’ song [being] like a 6ix9ine diss song or something,” the Atlanta rapper said.
“6ix9ine ain’t the only rat in America. He’s not the only snitch in the world, man. Fuck wrong with y’all? Y’all need to listen to that shit though ’cause that shit is facts. A rat is a fucking rat, period.”
