Baby Blue Releases Statement Following His Hospitalization: “I’m Still In ICU”

Report circulated yesterday that Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue was shot during a robbery attempt. According to report, two men attempted a robbery and shot him a night ago while out at the bowling alley in Miami.

Baby Blue has now taken to Twitter to show appreciation to fans and everyone praying for him. He also gave an update on his situation.

“Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I’m still in ICU but I’m on the road to recovery,” he wrote on Twitter. “The bullet traveled throgh my lounges is in stuck in my back. I have to learn to breathe & walk again. I have a great medical team here at the hospital. God Got Me Love, Blue”

Pretty Ricky is an R&B / Hip Hop group originating from Miami, Florida. The group originally consisted of brothers Ala Diamond (Baby Blue) Smith and Spectacular Smith, plus Corey (Slick ‘Em) Mathis and Marcus (Pleasure P) Cooper.

Pleasure P was the group’s main singer while the other three members performed as rappers. After he departed in 2007 to embark on a solo career, the group shuffled through several replacement vocalists.
