Japanese Man Arrested For Dating 35 Women At Once To Scam Them Of Money & Gifts

A Japanese man is currently trending worldwide after he was arrested for dating at least 35 women simultaneously to scam them out of gifts and money by telling them it was his birthday.

That man is 39-year-old Takashi Miyagawa, he was arrested in Osaka, Japan for scamming up to 35 women with whom he pretended to be in serious relationships with.

In return, they gave him gifts for his so-called birthday. Japan Today reports, the women gave at least 100,000 yen in gifts, or $766, which consisted of “smaller ‘birthday’ gifts of money and clothing.”

Here’s the kicker, Miyagawa also allegedly gave each woman a different birthday. One of the women claimed he told her his birthday was Feb. 22, while another woman said his birthday was in July.

It’s reported that Miyagawa met his victims while he worked part-time for a multi-level marketing company selling hydrogen water showerheads.

He was busted by authorities after the women found out about his scheme and they came together to report him.
