Kevin Hart Defends Rory & Mal, Blasts Joe Budden For Firing Them
Kevin Hart Blasts Joe Budden Over Firing Drama With Rory & Mal
Amidst the drama going on in the ‘Joe Budden Podcast’ camp, following Joe firing his co-hosts Rory and Mal, Kevin Hart has chimed in, defending Rory and Mal. The comedian went as far as blasting Joe Budden.
“I actually was a supporter of the progression of him and his podcast. From afar. I’m a fan of your growth, I’m a fan of what you’re doing and the conversation behind it. It’s dope,” Kevin began.
“He’s not doing business here, he wants to own it, he wants to control it, that’s dope. But to see you publicly sh*t on the guys that was with you, that’s an example of poor leadership. That’s an example of why you are where you are. This is why. Here’s the answer. Point blank,” he added.
He also blasted Joe for firing Rory on air.
“I won’t sit up here and promote the negativity, wish there was a world where you could work it out. But you need a good f*cking leader that understands it’s not just him. I don’t think Joe has that. I also don’t like the firing on air.”
Over the weekend, Joe Budden took accountability for the way he handled the situation. In fact, he offered an apology to Rory on the latest episode of the show.
“Seeing all of this feedback and all this — I do need to apologize to Rory, as well. Maybe Rory and Mal, too, but definitely Rory,” Joe said before reflecting that “things sound a lot spicier in the go-out.” He said that he initially asked for that part to be edited out of the final cut.
“Ever since that last pod, I’ve just been having like pictures in my head of every moment that me and the guys have ever had together.”
He admitted that regardless of his intentions, it was wrong for him to address Rory with such a tone. He explained that it stems from a deep-rooted issue with authority.
