A car drove into a crowd of pedestrians in the northeastern Chinese port city of Dalian, killing five on Sunday.
Now Chinese police are calling the killing an act of “revenge against society” by the man who lost all his money during the recent Bitcoin crash.
The man, who local media is calling Liu, and in his 30s, killed five people and injured another five after plowing his car through a busy pedestrian crossing in the northeastern Chinese city of Dalian.
According to MTO, a black sedan drove into a crowd of people crossing a street at 11:47 a.m. (on Saturday and fled the scene, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing Dalian’s public security bureau.
Four people died at the scene and another was confirmed dead after being sent to hospital.
It’s also gathered that five people who sustained injuries were receiving medical treatment in hospital, according to Xinhua.
