O-Block AKA Parkway Gardens Has Been Sold, Lil Durk Isn’t The Buyer

Chicago’s O Block Has Officially Been Sold Before Lil Durk Could Enter A Bid

We reported last week that the infamous Parkway Gardens affordable housing project, also known as O Block in Chicago, was listed for sale by the real estate firm that owns it.

Lil Durk showed interest at the time, saying he’s ready to buy it no matter how much it is. Durkio is known for calling O Block his home in his lyrics.

He has spent much of his career telling stories from the streets. He has become a voice of the streets of Chicago, as was his affiliate King Von. Von also grew up on O Block, putting the zone on the map with his hit single “Took Her To The O.”

However, the affordable Parkway Gardens housing project in Chicago, notoriously known as O Block in the hip-hop community, has reportedly found a buyer and it’s not Lil Durk.

Apparently, Durk didn’t have a chance to even enter a bid because, according to some reports, the project was immediately sold after the initial news broke.

SayCheese Media shared that O Block will be disbanded and relocated. The buildings have sold and they will reportedly be “developed beautifully and completely out of the price range of most current Woodlawn residents.”

According to AllHipHop, Lil Durk was not the buyer of the housing project, despite him declaring his interest.
