Benzino Slams BET Over Lil Nas X Performance

Benzino has called out BET over Lil Nas X’s performance. Lil Nas X has been trending on social media after his controversial kissing scene at the end of his performance at the 2021 BET Awards.

Closing up his performance, Lil Nas X passionately kissed a dancer atop a staircase next to a throne.

“That sh*t BET pulled yesterday was lame asf. It was too uncomfortable, too irresponsible, too forced and too irrelevant to the awards,” Benzino wrote. “Homie ain’t even hot like that for music anymore anyway. It’s a shame what all this is comming too. I wish I has the backing to bring the Source Awards back.”

Benzino continued, “I bought ol town road for ZINO, he knows every word but all the satanic sh*t I’m just not with,” he said, adding that he had “respect and love” for the gay community.

He however made it clear that it wasn’t just because it was two men kissing. “I could see if he was pooping but it was unexpected and unnecessary. I didn’t care for the Madonna kiss either. I could see if they way dating,” he wrote.

Benzino isn’t the only one to have complained about scene, folks on social media have been blasting BET for airing the scene. Some are even accusing them of pushing ‘gay agenda‘.
