R Kelly Disappointed That Celebrity Friends Didn’t Support Him Financially Before Sex Trafficking Trial

R Kelly is reportedly disappointed at the lack of support from his music industry friends and realizes that nobody is there to support him as his sex trafficking trial begins.

The singer is currently facing multiple allegations that he sexually abused women and girls for decades. This past week the jury was selected and now August 18th is when his trial will take place.

Earlier this month, Kelly’s lawyers filed documents stating that he couldn’t afford to pay court transcripts to help aid his defense team. “His funds are depleted,” his lawyer Devereaux Cannick told the court.

With Kelly being locked up for the past two years he has been missing out on a lot of money from his shows. Which plays a major part in all his legal troubles, because fighting a case like this is not cheap!

According to Metrocouk, the singer expected his celebrity friends would assist him with finances, but it seems once these serious allegations hit the public. A lot of people went ghost on him.

A source spoke out and stated, ‘he believed that some of his collaborators would support him financially but no one wants to be linked to him now that details of the allegations have been publicized.’
