Remy Ma Shares Advice To Lizzo After Online Trolls Brought Her To Tears: “F*ck These B*tches, They’ll Never Say It To Your Face!”
On Saturday, Remy Ma attended Jay-Z’s
celebration for the 18th anniversary of his 40/40 Club in NYC. She praised the music legend and labeled him “Rap Royalty.”
She added, “He’s definitely one of our greats and just everything he contributes not only music but across the whole scope businesswise, family. It’s very admirable,” the female MC said.
While speaking with us on the blue carpet, Remy Ma also weighed in on other influential men in the rap game that have recently spoken out in support of women in the music industry like Lizzo, who was brought to tears after being body-shamed and criticized online.
After mentioning that fellow rap stars like Offset and The Game spoke out in support of the singer, we asked Remy what would be her message to Lizzo. In true Remy Ma style, the rapper said:
“F*ck those b*tches! Just keep getting your money. Don’t pay attention to these people.” She went on to say, “you’ll never see them in real life ever. They will never say it to your face.”
As we previously reported, Lizzo dropped a hot new song and music video titled “Rumors” earlier this month featuring Cardi B. While most people enjoyed it, Lizzo noticed all the ‘fat-shaming and racist’ reactions to their collaboration.
The 33-year-old singer expressed her anguish in a teary social media clip, which went viral: “People say s*** about me that doesn’t even make sense,’ the 33-year-old singer said in the candid social media clip, in which she used a tissue to wipe away her tears.
‘It’s fatphobic, it’s racist and it’s hurtful – if you don’t like my music cool, if you don’t like Rumors the song, cool but a lot of people don’t like me because of the way I look.”
