Meek Mill Reveals When He Plans To Officially Retire From Rap

In a recent interview with Complex, Meek Mill talks about his future plans and reveals that he’s looking to hang up his mic within the next four years:

“I got like three or four more years left,” Meek said. “That’s it! I’ve been rapping since I was 23. I can’t be performing forever. I think these the last years I’m going hard with music and then I’m gonna pursue other stuff.”

Despite that, he said he will still be doing a few things after retirement: “At the same time, I’ll still make music. But going on tour, working on the albums for six months, being away from my family that long? I give up,” said Meek. “Let the young n***as come up next and see who moves me out the way.”

Well before all of that happens, Meek said he will release at least “four, five more albums.” The Philly rapper is gearing up to release his new project, Expensive Pain.

During the same interview with Complex, the Philadelphia rapper addressed ‘Expensive Pain’ numbers and Billboard chart.

When he was asked if he cares about where he debuts on the Billboard charts, he made it clear that securing top spots are the least of his worries.

“Me, I’d rather take me off Billboard,” said Meek.
