Virginia Homebuyer Kills Realtor And Then Himself
85-year-old Albert Baglione confessed to Portsmouth, Virginia police to shooting 41-year-old realtor Soren Arn-Oelschlegel and then killed himself for reportedly being unhappy with the home after he purchased it without seeing. After having a back and forth with the police Baglione t took his own life.
Police say, Albert Baglione was armed when they arrived on the scene and after he confessed to shooting the 41-year-old realtor, he slammed the door on the officers and seconds later officers heard a gunshot.
Neighbors stated Baglione introduced himself as a new resident from Alabama and had purchased the home without seeing it in person. He moved into the one-story 750 square-foot home on Thursday and reportedly, “called a real estate agent Friday to return the house,” the neighbor shared.
Baglione “said it didn’t look the same as it did in the pictures,” his neighbor expressed in the newspaper. “He told his son he was unhappy and that he was going to talk to his agent about it,” the news station reported.
Reports say, before he took his own life he contacted his son and confessed to killing the realtor and apologizing to his son.
Friends and coworkers of Arn-Oelschlegel who worked for Long & Foster Real Estate In Suffolk, Virginia was shocked and couldn’t believe the heartbreaking news.
”Our Long & Foster family is devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved colleague and friend, Soren Arn-Oelschlegel,” the company wrote. “His loss will be felt not only across our company, but also the greater real estate community and Hampton Roads region.”
