Lil Duval Defends Travis Scott Against Backlash From Astroworld Incident
Lil Duval defends Travis Scott as FBI joins investigation on deadly incident at Astroworld festival: “That could’ve happened at any big event”
Duval is the latest celebrity to address the Astroworld tragedy that happened over the weekend in Houston.
As we previously reported, 8 people died, over 300 others were left injured and a 9-year-old boy is currently fighting for his life after the event turned into chaos.
“You can’t blame Travis Scott for that astroworld sh*t. That could’ve happened at any big event. I’m surprised it ain’t happened sooner. It’s damn near impossible to have that many people in one place with that much energy and nothing happens,” the comedian tweeted.
He continued, “Even if they would’ve stopped the event that would’ve made it that crowd stopped. It probably would’ve made it worse.”
According to reports, a criminal investigation is now underway. The criminal investigation not only involves Harris County and the City of Houston, but it also includes the FBI.
“We’re working to figure out which entity can do that investigation, because there’s so many different players,” Judge Lina Hidalgo said.
Travis has issues two statements saying he was devastated by the events that occured. Despite the lawsuits, he has offered to issue attendees full refunds and said he’s willing to pay for the funerals of all 8 of the victims.
