Virginia Mother Charged For Making Loaded Gun Threat During School Board Meeting

A mother who threatened to bring “guns loaded” during a school board meeting has been charged for the incident.

The Luray Police Department wrote on their official Facebook page that Amelia Ruffner King,42, will be charged with making an oral threat on school property.

King went viral on social media Thursday after she was recorded making an alleged threat about bringing loaded guns to her kids’ school during a Page County school board meeting.

“My child, my children will not come to school on Monday with a mask on, alright, that’s not happening. And I will bring every single gun loaded and ready to — I will call every —”, King said before she was cut off by a board member who informed her that she used up the three-minute limit.

King added, “I’ll see you Monday,” moments later.

After her moment went viral, King went down to the Luray Police Department and apologized for her statement on Friday.

She was later charged for the incident and released on a $5,000 bond.
