Missing ‘Insecure’ And ‘Family Reunion’ Star, Jaida Benjamin Found Safe
Actress Jaida Benjamin was found safe early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles after she was reported missing and many on social media rushed to help find her whereabouts.
The Los Angeles Police Department told CBS Los Angeles that they found 27-year-old Benjamin, near Ventura Boulevard and Colfax Avenue in Studio City, which was her last known location.
“We didn’t get any sleep at all. My phone is ringing off the hook. I barely got two hours sleep. But I’m relieved at the same time,” Jaida’s mom, Jocinda Benjamin, said to the NY Post.

“She was located last night at 2:30 a.m. We are overjoyed and relieved! The stress has been out of this world,” Jocinda added. “I wouldn’t wish this amount of anguish on any parent or loved one. The country needs to do its due diligence to take better care of those battling mental illness. There’s too much red tape to go through just to get immediate assistance and support.
“Jaida is resting and being evaluated for treatment at this time” at a hospital. Benjamin reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding how she was found are unclear and why she initially disappeared.
