NBA YoungBoy Faces Up To 7 Years In Prison, His Legal Team Says They’re Not Worried

NBA YoungBoy is accustomed to getting himself into trouble. In addition, he is embroiled in a contentious legal battle that might land him in prison for several years. The rapper from Louisiana is being investigated on federal gun charges.

Never Broke Again might face up to seven years in prison if he is convicted of the charges against him. The matter has now been scheduled for a trial date.

According to the court’s announcement on Monday, YoungBoy will go before a jury on May 16 in Louisiana’s Middle District. The announcement came just a few days after a court ruled that a considerable amount of video evidence pertaining to the case should be concealed. YB’s attorney, Drew Findling, told Rolling Stone that the defense team is optimistic in its ability to defend the rapper.

“We’re 100 percent convinced of his innocence, and now we have to continue to evaluate our strategy. The unconstitutionality of law enforcement was clearly evident to the court and resulted in a slew of evidence of being thrown out. We’re looking forward to going to court.”

On February 24, 2022, Judge Shelly Dick ruled that video footage depicting NBA YoungBoy in possession of one or more firearms was obtained illegally. The tape was discovered on YoungBoy’s SD cards when he was arrested in Baton Rouge in September 2020. The warrant was judged to be unconstitutional.

Now under house arrest while awaiting arraignment, NBA YoungBoy, was accused of having an unlicensed Masterpiece Arms 9mm and a.45 Glock Model 21 pistol while a felon. He pled not guilty. The hefty allegations against NBA YoungBoy might land him in prison during his prime.

Sources say YoungBoy isn’t worried about his upcoming trial. His main focus has been a long-running feud with Lil Durk over King Von’s demise. Now that he has a court date, YoungBoy should start focusing on that a lot more
