Pittsburgh Mass Shooting Leaves 2 Teens Dead & 9 Injured At North Side Airbnb Party
A search for suspects is increasing after a deadly mass shooting inside a packed party inside an Airbnb.
Two boys were killed and nine were injured after gunshots rang out inside and outside a party Sunday at an Airbnb unit in Pittsburgh’s Allegheny East neighborhood.
Hundreds of people were forced to rush to safety, and five were injured while fleeing. Families and friends are in grieving following the deaths of Mathew Steffy-Ross and Jaiden Brown. Police say the two 17-year-old boys were shot and passed away at the hospital.

Brown’s mom said he was going to turn 18 and graduate from Woodland Hills High School next month.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 video revealed a shattered second-floor window and bullet holes in an Airbnb rental property at Madison Avenue and Suismon Street where police said the shooting happened. A car parked in the lot across the street also had bullet holes and a broken window.
Police said Zone 1 officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts around 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Suismon Street. More shots were being reported in the area as first responders arrived on the scene, and several young people were seen fleeing, police said.
“The initial investigation reveals a large party was being held at the short-term rental property, with as many as 200 people in attendance, many of them underage,” police said in a statement. “As many as 50 rounds were fired inside, prompting some party-goers to jump out the windows, sustaining injuries such as broken bones and lacerations. Several more shots were fired outside the home.”
No arrests have been announced, and police said there is no information on any suspects at this time.
